As the son of Evangelical missionaries, he was exposed to a rich tapestry of cultures and spiritual teachings while growing up in diverse locales such as Mexico City, San Diego, Redlands, Madrid, and Chicago. This unique upbringing not only provided him with a broad perspective on life but also instilled in him an appreciation for different cultures and belief systems.
